Nursing Care Conference 2018- Nursing Informatics

Nursing informatics (NI) is the specialty that integrates nursing science with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. Nursing Informatics is the "science and practice integrates nursing, its information and knowledge, with information and communication technologies to promote the health of people, families, and communities worldwide. The application of nursing informatics knowledge is empowering for all healthcare practitioners in achieving patient centered care. The combination of nursing science, health records and data, along with information technology, is designed to make use of healthcare data through the entire healthcare system, with the goal of improving patient care and desired outcomes. The disciplines include information science, computer science, social science, behavioural science, management science, and others. It is applied to the areas of nursing, clinical medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, biomedical research, and alternative medicine.
